Wow! Playlists for books!

Hi all!

Music has been a massive part of my life. Maybe you can tell this from some of my books. I always try to slip as many songs in as I can, as I feel they're important to give a sense of place and time. My upcoming book, The Secret of Ursula's Irish Stew, takes place on a US Naval base in Keflavik, Iceland in the late 70s or early 80s. And I decided to make the chapter headings the names of songs from that period. So, for example, we have "More Than A Feeling" (Boston), "Nobody Does It Better" (Carly Simon), "Good Times" (Chic), even "Slow Ride" (Foghat). I think you get the idea. And then I thought...why not make a playlist on Spotify as well? So...ta da! Here is the first playlist, and it's for the upcoming novel The Secret of Ursula's Irish Stew. I'll be including a link to the playlist in the ebook, and also the URL in the paperback versions. Hopefully it will be fun for you to listen to them while you read the book!

I've also done a playlist for the second in the Derry Women series, Hand In The Till. This one was easy, because it's the book of mine where music plays the biggest role. And I still had the playlist for the launch party somewhere on my computer (believe it or not, after all these years!). So, if you have that book and want to hear all the songs mentioned, here's the link!

And if you're interested in checking out either of these books further, here you go,

Have an excellent Spring, and drop me a line if you want! I always love to hear from you!

Gerald
